Essential oil - Bay of Saint Thomas
Essential oil - Bay of Saint Thomas
Botanical family Myrtaceae
Latin name: Pimenta officinalis or Pimenta racemosa
Essential oil obtained by distillation of the fruit
Capacity: 5 ml.
Presentation
Bay de Saint-Thomas essential oil is quite close to 4-spice chili oil. Through its main constituent, eugenol, it is also reminiscent of the essential oil of clove, but the latter is saturated with it and the comparison stops there. In addition to eugenol (between 40 and 50%), it contains quite varied monoterpenes and monoterpenols.
Properties
It is known for toning the scalp and stimulating hair growth. It fights baldness and dandruff. It helps limit the production of sebum. It is therefore intended primarily for oily hair and oily hair with dry ends. Use it, for example, as a mask, by incorporating it into jojoba oil.
Anti-infectious, its use is reserved for treating lower respiratory tract infections, such as bronchitis. It revives tired bodies prone to pain of all etiologies.
Psycho-emotional plan
Bay de Saint-Thomas EO stimulates the vital force necessary both for action and for the expression of feelings. It will suit people who are mute and withdrawn.
Precautions for use
- Irritating to the dermacaustic tract when used pure.
- Also be sure to dilute it for skin use to avoid irritation.
- Risk of allergy (eugenol, linalool, limonene): be careful not to overdose in mixtures; the crook of the elbow test will be recommended prior to any skin application.
- Keep out of reach of children
- Avoid all contact with eyes

LEATHER GOODS PRODUCTS
Majority of the products are treated against moisture and dirt, but it's still necessary to keep your handbag clean to make them last longer.
- Brush off visible dirt with a soft and clean brush. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- Clean with a damp (not moist!) cloth to remove invisible dust, dirt, pollution, etc. If there are no visible spots left, this should suffice. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- If there are still spots, try using a leather cleaner, but the type of products depends on the kind of leather of your bag. Always try your product of choice on a piece of leather on the inside of the bag first!
- If you have suede leather, try using a suede rubber to remove spots before you go all in with a cleaning product.
- Just like our skin, leather needs some moisturizing to stay supple. If you don't clean and moisturize, your leather will wrinkle and dry out overtime. But there's a tricky part to this story… Some types of leather need a different approach.
When you're not using your handbag, keep them in their dust bags. Also, to keep the shape of the bag, try to fill it with some paper during the off season.
