Essential oil - Java lemongrass
Essential oil - Java lemongrass
Java lemongrass essential oil purifies the skin, it can be used in homemade deodorants, plus it repels mosquitoes: ideal for summer!
Botanical family Poaceae or grasses
Latin name: Cymbopogon winterianus
Essential oil obtained by distillation of the aerial part of the plant
From controlled organic farming: Certisys-BE1 control
Capacity: 10 ml.
Presentation
Among lemongrasses, this variety originating from Indonesia has the greatest molecular richness, since we find, unsurprisingly, citronellal, but also monoterpenols, geraniol and citronellol at the top, esters, sesquiterpenes, a hint of phenols (esters).
Properties
Java lemongrass essential oil has an anti-inflammatory action on the joints. In this respect, it can replace lemon eucalyptus EO. It is antibacterial and antifungal. It is obviously the mosquito repellent par excellence. Afterwards, it provides relief from their stings.
Psycho-emotional plan
The lemongrass accent is very present but the monoterpenols bring their vigor. Geraniol, in particular, brings its characteristic rose note. This Java lemongrass is anything but monotonous. We will appreciate its virtues as an antidepressant exerting its effects both on the emotional level and on the physical level: the hint of eugenol (and therefore of clove) is as discreet as it is effective.
Our opinion
An excellent diffuser product, not only as an insect repellent, but also a purifier. This HE can also be considered in the household sector (washing machine, etc.) but also in the culinary sector.
Precautions for use
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in young children.
- This oil tends to be irritating when used pure, be sure to dilute it sufficiently for skin use.
- Avoid all contact with eyes.
- Risk of allergy (geraniol, citronellol, limonene, eugenol, linalool, citral): be careful not to overdose in mixtures; the crook of the elbow test will be recommended prior to any skin application (min. 48 hours before use).
- Keep out of reach of children

LEATHER GOODS PRODUCTS
Majority of the products are treated against moisture and dirt, but it's still necessary to keep your handbag clean to make them last longer.
- Brush off visible dirt with a soft and clean brush. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- Clean with a damp (not moist!) cloth to remove invisible dust, dirt, pollution, etc. If there are no visible spots left, this should suffice. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- If there are still spots, try using a leather cleaner, but the type of products depends on the kind of leather of your bag. Always try your product of choice on a piece of leather on the inside of the bag first!
- If you have suede leather, try using a suede rubber to remove spots before you go all in with a cleaning product.
- Just like our skin, leather needs some moisturizing to stay supple. If you don't clean and moisturize, your leather will wrinkle and dry out overtime. But there's a tricky part to this story… Some types of leather need a different approach.
When you're not using your handbag, keep them in their dust bags. Also, to keep the shape of the bag, try to fill it with some paper during the off season.
