Essential oil - Peppermint
Essential oil - Peppermint
Botanical family Lamiaceae or labiates
Latin name: Mentha piperita
Essential oil obtained by distillation of the plant
From controlled organic farming: Certisys-BE1 control
Capacity: 10 ml.
Presentation
Its biochemical composition revolves around two ingredients: menthol, a monoterpenol, and menthone, a ketone. More marginally, we find esters, oxides and sesquiterpenes.
Properties
Peppermint essential oil is strongly tonic, even hypertensive. It stimulates digestion, drains the liver and participates in its regeneration. It is effective against nausea, with the exception of that of pregnant and breastfeeding women. In small quantities, it is combined with various essential oils for respiratory purposes.
It is very renowned for its powerful and rapid analgesic (pain-relieving) action. In case of headache or migraine, a drop on each temple quickly improves the situation and effectively relieves the pain.
It is used to overcome shingles. It repels insects, is deworming and antiparasitic.
Cosmetically, it is used in very small doses to firm dilated vessels and for its firming action, particularly on sagging tissues.
Psycho-emotional plan
Peppermint essential oil gives off a lively, penetrating, heady aroma. On this level, we verify a clear confirmation of the basic properties: this essential oil is cephalic, stimulating the mind, making ideas clear and facilitating concentration. A real ally in times of stress, extreme fatigue or exams!
Precautions for use
- Dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children; Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle.
- Do not administer to pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- Do not administer to nervously fragile people.
- A certain dermocausticity requires that this EO be sufficiently diluted for skin use.
- Theoretically and unverified: possible interactions with certain drugs (which EO would inhibit or strengthen)
- Avoid all contact with eyes

LEATHER GOODS PRODUCTS
Majority of the products are treated against moisture and dirt, but it's still necessary to keep your handbag clean to make them last longer.
- Brush off visible dirt with a soft and clean brush. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- Clean with a damp (not moist!) cloth to remove invisible dust, dirt, pollution, etc. If there are no visible spots left, this should suffice. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- If there are still spots, try using a leather cleaner, but the type of products depends on the kind of leather of your bag. Always try your product of choice on a piece of leather on the inside of the bag first!
- If you have suede leather, try using a suede rubber to remove spots before you go all in with a cleaning product.
- Just like our skin, leather needs some moisturizing to stay supple. If you don't clean and moisturize, your leather will wrinkle and dry out overtime. But there's a tricky part to this story… Some types of leather need a different approach.
When you're not using your handbag, keep them in their dust bags. Also, to keep the shape of the bag, try to fill it with some paper during the off season.
