Presentation
Grapefruit oil is made up of a significant proportion of monoterpenes - the difference with lemon is that limonene reigns supreme: around 94%! All the other families are in the minority - the rare aldehydes and esters bringing a touch of softness to the portrait. As this essence is not obtained by steam distillation, non-volatile molecules are also found there, such as flavonoids. Be careful of the presence of coumarins: this essence should not be applied pure to a part of the skin that will be immediately exposed to daylight.
Properties
Alternating with lemon essence, use it as a diffuser to sanitize the premises. It will also be used in anti-cellulite mixtures. It will advantageously replace lemon essence.
Psycho-emotional plan
Less vigorous than lemon essence, grapefruit essence is just as joyful, totally effective in the present moment, but its mental strength is nuanced with sensitivity and emotion.
If the essence of grapefruit invites us to exist fully, to “radiate” as this luminous fruit itself suggests, it does so with skill and delicacy. These latter qualities ultimately make her an excellent healer since she invites everyone to express their life potential, even in the most difficult circumstances. In its own way, it is a good antidepressant.
It is not surprising, in a more specific context, that it can be considered to help sick and mute people, withdrawn into themselves, particularly in the terminal phases of serious illnesses.
For the above applications, use it as a diffuser, incorporate it into a massage oil or apply it as a pure anointing (for example on the inside of the wrists, and then breathe) avoiding exposing yourself to sunlight. day immediately afterwards.
Precautions for use
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
- Given the risk of photosensitization, also ensure low doses in mixtures; For safety reasons, avoid exposing the treated skin areas to daylight for a few hours after application.
- This oil tends to be irritating when used pure, be sure to dilute it sufficiently for skin use.
- Avoid all contact with eyes.
- Risk of allergy (limonene, linalool, citral, benzyl benzoate): be careful not to overdose in mixtures; the crook of the elbow test will be recommended prior to any skin application (min. 48 hours before use).

LEATHER GOODS PRODUCTS
Majority of the products are treated against moisture and dirt, but it's still necessary to keep your handbag clean to make them last longer.
- Brush off visible dirt with a soft and clean brush. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- Clean with a damp (not moist!) cloth to remove invisible dust, dirt, pollution, etc. If there are no visible spots left, this should suffice. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- If there are still spots, try using a leather cleaner, but the type of products depends on the kind of leather of your bag. Always try your product of choice on a piece of leather on the inside of the bag first!
- If you have suede leather, try using a suede rubber to remove spots before you go all in with a cleaning product.
- Just like our skin, leather needs some moisturizing to stay supple. If you don't clean and moisturize, your leather will wrinkle and dry out overtime. But there's a tricky part to this story… Some types of leather need a different approach.
When you're not using your handbag, keep them in their dust bags. Also, to keep the shape of the bag, try to fill it with some paper during the off season.
