Essential oil - Tea Tree
Essential oil - Tea Tree
Botanical family Myrtaceae
Latin name: Melaleuca alternifolia
Essential oil obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the tree
From controlled organic farming: Certisys-BE1 control
Origin: Africa
Capacity: 10 ml.
Presentation
The original biotope of the Tea tree is the region of New South Wales, Australia. Aboriginal tradition has revealed its virtues as a healing tree. The species has acclimatized well in eastern South Africa and produces an essential oil with similar properties to its Australian equivalent. Its action is largely due to its monoterpenols: terpinen-4-ol, alpha-terpineol in the lead. This essential oil from Africa offers you an alternative at a lower price than Australian essential oil , rare and expensive this year following significant droughts in Australia. The only difference is its smell, less fine and more "raw" than Australian essential oil.
Health properties
Tea tree essential oil is a must-have in the aromatherapy kit, as its virtues and uses are numerous and varied. It strengthens natural defenses, purifies the skin and mucous membranes. Very well tolerated, it provides the skin and mucous membranes with a long-lasting cleansing action, very useful in cases of mycoses for example. Very broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal, it is also ideal for making ecological home cleaning products. We will also note its ability to protect the skin before radiotherapy sessions.
Dermal
We recommend diluting it in a vegetable oil (up to 20% essential oil) to make a concentrated massage oil.
Oral route
One drop on a neutral tablet or in a teaspoon of honey, on the advice of an aromatherapist or health professional.
Aromatic diffusion
We will benefit from its benefits by light diffusion with a cold ultrasonic diffuser or a pocket inhaler .
Beauty
Tea tree essential oil purifies and balances young and problem skin . Used pure on small spots, it allows them to dry out quickly and restore healthy skin. It is ideal for purifying face cream or clean skin serum recipes, combined with Aloe vera gel. It also contributes to good oral hygiene while purifying the breath and whitening the teeth, adding a drop to the toothpaste each time you brush your teeth.
Psycho-emotional plan
Its earthy, powerfully aromatic and almost medicinal aroma is not very attractive at first... but ends up becoming loved! It provides foundation, anchors to the earth, promotes balance, dispels mental confusion and combats nervous exhaustion.
It will be used in friction, pure (2 or 3 drops on the thorax, solar plexus, soles of the feet), or diluted in a massage oil up to 10% or 4 to 5 drops in your dose of gel shower to start the day off right.
Precautions for use
- Dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children; Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle.
- Pregnant women: preferably avoid it during the first 3 months of pregnancy
- Tea tree EO is well tolerated, there are no known contraindications. Non-dermocaustic, it is gentle on the skin and mucous membranes and is one of the only ones that can be applied pure; in the case of regular use, it is preferable to systematically dilute
- However, we verify that this essential oil is sensitive to oxidation; Oxidized, it becomes irritating to the skin. The crook of the elbow test is a wise precaution to check this point.
- Keep out of reach of children
- Avoid all contact with eyes

LEATHER GOODS PRODUCTS
Majority of the products are treated against moisture and dirt, but it's still necessary to keep your handbag clean to make them last longer.
- Brush off visible dirt with a soft and clean brush. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- Clean with a damp (not moist!) cloth to remove invisible dust, dirt, pollution, etc. If there are no visible spots left, this should suffice. For your lacquered bag you can use a dry cloth.
- If there are still spots, try using a leather cleaner, but the type of products depends on the kind of leather of your bag. Always try your product of choice on a piece of leather on the inside of the bag first!
- If you have suede leather, try using a suede rubber to remove spots before you go all in with a cleaning product.
- Just like our skin, leather needs some moisturizing to stay supple. If you don't clean and moisturize, your leather will wrinkle and dry out overtime. But there's a tricky part to this story… Some types of leather need a different approach.
When you're not using your handbag, keep them in their dust bags. Also, to keep the shape of the bag, try to fill it with some paper during the off season.
